A B O U T
Gala (b. 1987) is a painter living in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond district. In 2009 she acquired a BA in Photography from UCSB. She is self-taught in painting. Her recent paintings, combining text and image, convey ideas in unusual and indirect ways. These ideas come from her constant observation and critique of society and her questioning of the truth. She is currently represented by HANG Art Gallery in San Francisco’s Chinatown district.
